On twilight wings she comes
In those fleeting moments between night and day
We dance though time and space
One moment rejoicing at the birth of a random unknown child
The next we weep like lovers for a stranger who died defending their home
Then we quietly enjoy the view of supernova as it destroys all within its reach
Only to trigger the birth of new stars in a nearby nebula
As she leaves she kisses me goodbye
A kiss that fills my veins with fire and ice
And leaves me both dreading and hoping to see her again
