WHO WILL WIN THE 2012 NBA TITLE?

In the 2012 the Next NBA Champion will be named will it be the 2011 Champions the Dallas Mavericks? May it actually be the Los Angelas Lakers? None of us will Know what will happen.

But what i do know is if the Los Angelas Lakers hope to win the next title they need to set aside all their problem and figure it out. Ha i think Kobe Bryant is in amazing player but "dude" you need to figure it out you were amazing when you were younger. Stop taking the game so seriously and whining all the time you could be the next Micheal Jordan or even better but to do that you need to play your game. The ball is in your hands. The Lakers Should make some moves "Ha" Ron Artest your a good player and everything but you have some anger problems. Your anger may disrupt the Lakers Season and i know they don't want that to happen so "Man" ya you can be rough but think of your team before you so stupid things like swing your elbow around and hitting someone in the back of the head you did that like 6 times lat year it is ridiculous.

Also Portland i respect you guys and you by far my Favorite team. And i respect you guys and the management for the large change of players and the life style of Portland in the last 6 years. You guys are defiantly Championship contenders and i know you can do it you guy need to get it in your head that your unstoppable and not to expect losing. Make sure to never give up and play your heart out even if your down on the score board at least you tried to finish the game right and that all of us Rip City Fan hope for is you try your hardest and not give up.
And when it come to Brandon Roy dude your still very good dont be afraid to push yourself to the limit. Think about it if you Succeed your kids will have a amazing life School allowing them to get what ever job the want or if they want to play sports. You could be the Next Micheal Jordan and isn't that what you want your kids to think about their father and how much they want to be like their dad.. Your the man Brandon and never give up your still a All Star By Heart now prove that you still are. Greg Oden man don't give up if you need to give yourself a few more days of rehab do it you are still great your as good as Dwight Howard or even better and i know you can do it. Portland needs you more than you know....

secret talents

To see the secret talents within each and every child would be to look on in amazement, as if a conductor took the colors of a rainbow the sunset, and sunrise, as well as the colors of the moon reflecting off the shadows of trees and water. Then to weave them altogether in a splendid impossible quilt of fine smooth silk as tough as nano carbon fiber, as warm as the summer sun, as smooth as a cream colored pearl, as light as air, as cool as soothing aloe-Vera to the over sun burnt skin- and yet far greater still. Yet for this there is always someone out there who can understand and see these hidden talents without even blinking an eye. Then encourage them to bring it to their fullest potential, yet very few ever do.

I know I have tried to bring my hidden talent to its peak, and it still grows. But yet I feel it will never be so… for what is the fullest potential for someone’s talent if their hidden talent is that of the gift of imagination? So, for each person who is able to bring their talents to full potential I say to thee hooray and good day, for to be able to use ones talent to it’s fullest is indeed a great thing. So to each and every person I say to yeas be happy and joyful and do your best so that you my never regret what you have done when the time comes for you to make your last and final journey… a journey to find out the true answer so many want to know and crave to know. Though only have their hopes, beliefs, trust, and dreams and that question and inevitably answer that you find when you die what happens after death. We can hope, have faith, and have trust, belief and finally dreams. Though until that day comes for when you’re to die you will never truly understand or have what science calls irrefutable proof as to what happens after you die.

A Small List of Free Games

While there are a countless number of games on the Internet for both computers and portable devices (i.e. iPhone), some are download, and some are Flash and Java games. I have already mentioned one (La-Mulana) in a much earlier posting, there are far more to go on about, so I'm limiting myself for a short description for each one:

Undercroft (iPhone)

Undercroft is made in the style of old 8-bit RPGs like Shadowgate or Wizardry, where you select four characters with five classes to choose from (Warrior, Assassin, Priest, Mage, Summoner; though there are several possible builds you can develop for each one, so one Warrior, for example, can be developed with a completely different role from another). The story is largely cobbled together (you make a bet to rob a haunted royal tomb while drunk), but the gameplay is solid.

Blocksum (Download)

This puzzle game tests your math skills in a nice, fast-paced way. Outpace the rising blocks with numbers on them by holding the main button (Z on the keyboard) and dragging them to fuse blocks together to make groups that all have the same sum (hence the name of the game). You also need to make the same number of groups to start clearing them as the number on the blocks (i.e. three groups of 3s, eight groups of 8s, etc.). How high can you get? Get it here.

Spelunky (Download)

A game that is essentially a roguelike combined with a platforming game. Join your Indiana Jones-like protagonist on his trip down the cave for fame and/or fortune. However, like other roguelikes, don't expect to even finish on your tenth or even your one hundredth try. Expect to die in as many unique ways you can think of. You can die from arrow traps (you can also fire the arrows from the traps back!), giant spiders, getting crushed by a giant boulder, giant ghost, yeti, shopkeeper with a shotgun, mummy, suicide by your own bombs, etc. And odds are highly likely, that all of these deaths were your own fault. And it's fun regardless.

One of those platforming, shooting Freeware games that cannot be fully described in words. Also available on WiiWare and DSiWare. (but not for free, but those versions have extras)



As for others, I suggest looking up Kongregate and Facebook for free browser games (though the latter is more along the lines of freemium)

The Voices unheard

Any time a "hot button" issue is brought up there are no shortage of people trying to be heard but what about those Voices lost in the clamor? Be it due to a lack of conviction, inability to express, or simply it or it's sources odd nature. Now I'm well aware that a great many of these are discarded for good reason but too often it's only because "we" don't like it. Seeing how a lot of these very issues have yet to be resolved I wonder if perhaps the potential solution was one of these lost voices.
To get us started here some "hot Button" issues and my view on them... feel free to comment on or add to them but try and keep it respectful

1. Gun control: we all know there's those groups that either want everybody or nobody to have guns but most want something in-between. I for one feel that only the military and maybe police should be aloud to have full auto guns, since lets face it the sole use for these is combat. Now rifles and pistol are where thing get interesting. There's no good reason to carry around a loaded rifle in city limits but with so many sport hunters (which I think are evil) living within the city it would be unreasonable to ban them out-right so maybe require them to be in a locked container at all times within city limits? As for pistols well most people buy them for self-defense but too often they have no idea of the limit or how to use them properly. This often lead to the pistol being more harmful then helpful. Now this could be solved by requiring to take a class on it use but i feel the this should be part of the licensing . Speaking of licensing I feel this should be handle more like a drivers license not a fishing license in that there are different classes and you must prove you're qualified to get it.
2. Church v State: As I'm sure we all know of the first amendment of the constitution in which the government is prohibited to ether promoting or suppressing any one religion or if fact the lack there of . To me this mean in the most simplistic way that the government can't tell us what or what not to believe in or how we practice said beliefs. but by the same token religion can not and should not influence government polices. now this bring me to the symptom issues religious Acts/icons in public places, abortions.
   
   • First religious acts/icons in public places: well if you ask me this ones easy a vote on the ballot for any i mean ANY "offensive" icons be they religious or no for the fact that it is a religious or not rightly doesn't matter but that it is "offensive" and since the government is at lest in principal a representative government they at lest be bound to the need and desire of though they represent.
   • As for Abortions: whether it's god's choose doesn't matter what dose matter is the fact that you are removing a potentiality child from existence whether or not it is yet alive and it should be weighed in that light. It is in that light that i feel unless it will cause catastrophic mental or physical harm to the mother it should be discouraged but not band after all it her body it will be leaching of.
     

The advantages of small towns

This blog post is an interactive blog about small towns and their advantages and disadvantages. The reason I have decided to make this post is due to the fact that there are few small towns well known, but people tend to categorize them all together as if they're all the same and base their opinions off this. I am not saying their opinion is wrong or right just sometimes a bit uninformed it’s not their fault or any one else’s its just that they are not well known. So people in general tend to base their opinions off of what they have heard or what small amount of actual experience they have. This is a blog to help get the info out and about. It is also to help people who think they might like a small town living to know and understand what they are looking at and what they are getting themselves into so they know what they may want to consider. Alright, now on to the flesh of this blog, the advantages and disadvantages and sometimes double edged advantages of small towns.

I myself have had a few different experiences with small towns and have come to see several different views on the matter of disadvantages and advantages. For example Coequal, Oregon; it was small and close knit but at the same time it didn't have as many schools or community services as its close neighbor Coos bay. Though, it also had less traffic congestion. Then you have Grants Pass, its spread out but still a small town population wise. You have people there that will help out the best they can but some times they just don't have the stuff or skills necessary to help you out. So you get stuck in a jam occasionally. Then there is a town named new Pine creek. Barley even a town and barely noticed half the time but its there. And, the people are friendly and live in happiness most of the time, often more times then those who live in cities. Then you have Lakeview, Oregon; most don't know about it and the few people who do will understand the draw it has on those. It may be small but it has great scenery, good people, and facilities such as schools, doctors and the like.

Their capabilities maybe better due to some of the best teachers and doctors who go there to have a nice and relaxing breather. They find they like it and end up staying there and enjoying themselves. While they still continue to be able to do their jobs to the best of their abilities, if not better, (sometimes because of this) that is why some tell other doctors or teachers who maybe are not doing as well as they used to. For instance, in Lakeview there is an eye doctor who is one of the best in Oregon. He goes there to relax and live happily and in turn does a better job. Yet, because he is less stressed than others he can concentrate better when he does his job. Then you have a math teacher there who is well respected in the mathematical community. The children there are very smart, which is very different then most versions of how people think a small town community will be.

The reason I talk of Lakeview the most is because out of all the places I have been and all the small towns, it is the one I remember the most vividly. Yet even lake view has its faults... one such fault is that it doesn't have as many mental health resources that big towns and cities have at there disposal (at the moment that is). This is all I have to say for now. Feel free to speak or in this case type your mind and experiences that you have about this subject. That is why this is a interactive blog... I can only give the view I have from what I know of small towns. I admit it I don't know every thing contrary to what some people tend to say. So due to this I will give my best with the limited experience and view I have. I am bound to miss something you will see, so come and join the discussion!?
